Prague offers a wide range of sporting activities, whether it is beach volleyball, inline skating, swimming, paddleboarding or cycling.
Here are some tips on places to do these activities, along with information on equipment rental.
Beach volleyball
- Sports venues: Beach volleyball courts in Štvanica and Letná.
- Equipment rental. It is recommended to bring your own balls, but some courts may also have rental facilities.
Inline skating
Available for example on Letná Letná courts, but other facilities may be available for your use.
- Ideal routes are along the Vltava River or in parks like Stromovka.
- Equipment rental:
o Bike and skate rental near Rašín's Embankment (e.g. BikePark Prague), where you can rent inline skates and helmets.
o Shops such as Decathlon or Sportisimo offer a wide selection of roller skates for rent or purchase.
Swimming
- Sports facilities: The Podolí Swimming Stadium and the Aquapalace Prague water park are ideal places for swimming.
- Equipment rental:
o Swimming goggles or other equipment can be rented at the Podolí swimming stadium.
o At Aquapalace Praha you can use the wellness centre with towels or bathrobes available for rent before entering the facility.
Paddleboarding
- Paddleboarding on the Vltava River on hot summer days is an ideal program for those who like to spend their free time actively.
On the banks of the river you can meet several rental companies.
The first one right in the centre on the Rašín embankment you can rent a paddleboard on a boat called Kayakbeach bar, you can recognize it simply by the beach volleyball court right on the deck, besides paddleboards you can rent a kayak or a motorboat.
Climbing wall
- There are several great climbing centres in Prague. For example, the Smíchoff climbing centre in Prague 5 or BigWall in Prague 9. The centres also have equipment rentals.
- If you want to climb on an artificial wall outside, you can go to the Gutovka sports centre.
